Frequently asked questions

Does submitting an enquiry mean I have a claim?

No. An enquiry is the first step only. We need to review your circumstances before we can say whether we may be able to help, and we cannot guarantee any outcome.

Who can make an enquiry?

Tenants of councils and housing associations in the United Kingdom who are experiencing problems with the condition of their home.

What kinds of problems can I ask about?

Damp, mould, leaks, water ingress, heating and plumbing faults, damaged ceilings, floors, windows, doors, guttering and more. Choose any that apply on the form.

Do I need to have reported the problem to my landlord?

It often helps, but you can still make an enquiry if you're unsure. Tell us what you know and we'll discuss it with you.

What happens after I submit the form?

You'll see a reference number straight away. A team member reviews your enquiry and, where appropriate, contacts you using the details you provided.

How is my information used?

Only to respond to your enquiry, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your details.
